Snow and ice management in Des Moines
The Des Moines metro is spread across fast-growing suburbs, so many property managers here run several sites at once. We give multi-site clients one point of contact and one invoice across every location we service in Polk and Dallas counties.
Stockstell has run commercial snow operations across the Midwest since 2017. Our equipment includes plow trucks with salters, wheel loaders and dump trucks, backed by a network of about 45 regional crews.

How our service works
We start with a site walk and map your lots, drive lanes, sidewalks, entrances and snow stacking areas. Then we agree on a trigger: zero-tolerance for any accumulation, or a set depth such as 1 or 2 inches.
Choose seasonal pricing for a fixed winter cost or per-event pricing where you pay per plow or salt visit. Every visit is documented with dates and times.

Frequently asked questions
Do you cover the Des Moines suburbs?
Yes. We service commercial properties in Des Moines, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Urbandale, Johnston, Clive, Waukee and Altoona.
What's the difference between zero-tolerance and trigger service?
Zero-tolerance means we respond to any accumulation, including light snow and ice. Trigger service starts once snowfall reaches a set depth, such as 2 inches. Zero-tolerance costs more but lowers slip-and-fall risk.
When should we sign for the season?
September through early November, before seasonal routes fill up and the first storm arrives. That leaves time for a site walk and for marking curbs and islands.
Can you cover multiple locations?
Yes. We service multi-site portfolios across Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas and Indiana with one point of contact and one invoice.
